ON THE HILL GANG LOS ANGELES (OHGLA) - ABOUT US

OUR HISTORY

Our club started in 1988 as a local chapter of Over the Hill Gang International, with an emphasis on skiing. We grew through the years, providing a variety of local sporting and social activities and travel opportunities in addition to skiing. In 2005 we became independent of International; in 2016 we changed our name from “Over” the Hill Gang to “On” the Hill Gang to more accurately reflect our active life style; and in 2023 we will celebrated our 35th anniversary.

WHO WE ARE

We are a mix of couples and singles age 50 and over. Most of us live in the greater Los Angeles area, but some of our members are from out of the area. Historically, most of our members have joined because of referrals by members and friends, but a number of our members have recently found us through our website and local newspaper.

WHAT WE DO

We beat the crowds at Mammoth with January thru April mid-week skiing. Local sporting ativities include hiking, biking and seasonal kayak/SUP events. We also enjoy dinners and picnics, and art and cultural events.
